Proud owner of Gold Star Plumbing and Drain. As an Arizona native I’ve always believed in building strong roots both in family and in business. I married my junior high sweetheart, Julie, and we’ve been going strong for over 25 years. Together, we’ve raised three amazing sons and share our home with five lovable dogs.
Before launching Gold Star, I helped run our family business, Smitty’s Big Barn Antiques, which was even featured on American Pickers. That moment of national recognition inspired me to open our second location in Yavapai County.
Gold Star Plumbing and Drain was born in my living room with a simple goal: to do plumbing better. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, I set out to build a company that puts customer service first and delivers unmatched expertise. At Gold Star, we stand by our promise to treat every customer like family and every job like it’s our own home.

I was born & raised in Arizona and love to be doing outdoor adventures.
I am the middle child with two brothers. I have been married to my beautiful wife Cleo for about a year and we have 4 dogs in our home in Mesa. I love to watch any sports games but Football is my go to. My favorite food would be a medium rare steak with potatoes. I have a Business Law degree from Arizona State University and love to take on any challenge!

Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals is my favorite Sports Teams. I love the outdoors and enjoy all fishing supply stores and a good read from a fishing magazine, my favorite hobby is fishing. I love Mexican food, chips salsa and guacamole is the best! I enjoy hanging out with my family and having family dinners brings us altogether.
I chose Gold Star because they have great ethics and high standards from their customers to their employees. I live with my wonderful wife—we've been happily married since November 2022—and together we have two dogs: a black lab and a golden retriever. When I'm not working, I love spending time outdoors with my family, especially around a campfire with the grill going. BBQs and grilling out are some of our favorite ways to relax and connect.
I decided to join the Plumbing Industry because I truly enjoy helping people and want to have fun while doing it. As a former military member, I take great pride in my attention to detail and believe it's an essential part of who I am. I chose Goldstar for a few reasons, but the main one is the family-oriented atmosphere. The close-knit feel of a smaller company helps everyone get comfortable and work well together. It's inspiring to be part of a team where everyone wants to grow and get better every day.

Meet Nate Navarrette, Arizona Native. I love the smell of nature spending family time outdoors is the best whether were out camping, fishing or off roading on my razor. I decided to get into The Plumbing industry because my dad has been plumbing for 28 years, so I’ve been around it my entire life and love that I can work hands on.

I have been in the trade for six years. I decided to be a Plumber not only because I love fixing things but to make people happy. This is also a trade I can pass down to my children, for generations that have yet to come.
I chose Gold Star Plumbing because they are very family-oriented, everyone is very helpful, and has the same goals as one Team. Also, this is the only company that has a Nerf gun wall, they work hard and play hard. They also have top-of-the-line equipment. Customer care is number one here and they also make it a great and safe work environment.

Mammoth Steak House and Saloon in the Ghost Town of Apache Junction is our favorite place to eat dinner. If drinking whiskey was a hobby, I’m your guy.
When I was a young mechanic looking for work 18 years ago with a newborn son, I knew I had to provide for my son. I applied everywhere and the one place I didn’t apply called me, it was at that point I knew this trade was my calling. I took a chance and quickly worked my way up the ranks, I love the daily challenges and how everyday is different. Goldstar has always been a place I’ve wanted to work, they have been tied to me from a distance. I now have the opportunity to be apart of this awesome Team, I’m excited to making a positive impact and making my footprint as the legacy lives on.

I started plumbing seven years ago because I have a passion for fixing things and helping people. While plumbing is challenging, I find it exhilarating to diagnose and resolve problems.
